The United States has given Kiev permission to use American weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation, but does not plan to send its own military instructors in Ukraine.

„From our side, we are not planning a training mission in Ukraine,”, he said. According to Sullivan, Ukraine needs more air defense capabilities and the US is now working on that. “And they need a continuous flow of weapons, which we will provide them”, he assured.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken confirmed the authorization for Ukraine to use American weapons to strike Russian territory. “Ukraine came to us and asked for permission to use the weapons we are providing to defend itself against this aggression, including against Russian troops massing on the Russian side of the border and then attacking Ukraine. This is the right of the president (Biden) and he has approved the use of our weapons for this purpose”, the Secretary of State clarified.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi's chief of staff said the use of Western weapons for strikes inside Russia was an important decision that could affect Russia's tactical aviation and its ability to operate in border areas. Last week, the US agreed to change its position and allow Ukrainian forces to use Western weapons to strike military targets inside Russia.
According to Kiev, the decision will help repel the Russian advance and facilitate defense in the Kharkiv region. “The permission to use Western weapons on the territory of the Russian Federation is an important decision,” Andriy Yermak, the head of the office of the Ukrainian president, wrote in Telegram.
