Chinese fighter jets flew several times around a Dutch frigate and approached a Dutch helicopter in the East China Sea in a way that could have caused a potentially dangerous situation, the Dutch Ministry of Defense said, as quoted by Reuters, BTA writes.
A statement from the ministry said that the Dutch frigate "Tromp" yesterday she was on patrol in support of UN sanctions against North Korea, when at one point two Chinese fighter jets flew several times around her.
Later to the military helicopter "NH 90" two Chinese fighter jets and one helicopter approached.
The ministry said it happened in international airspace. The frigate "Tromp" will head to Japan and then to Hawaii for naval exercises.
