The Russian minister thanked Cuba for its cooperation in preserving historical memory and preventing the revival of Nazism.

„The threat of such a development of events, unfortunately, exists as a result of the policy of the US and its European allies, who in every way try to incite nationalist, ultra-radical and neo-Nazi sentiments, including in Ukraine, which they use to war against Russia", Lavrov stressed. The foreign minister also added that such sentiments exist in a number of European Union countries.

At the same time, Lavrov criticized the US for including Cuba in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism. “It is an absolute anomaly when a country includes Cuba in the list of sponsors of terrorism, while this country itself – The US, together with its satellites, is trying to maintain its slipping hegemony in world affairs with terror, using the methods of economic, financial and diplomatic terrorism, the foreign minister said.

At the same time, he noted that Moscow and Havana continue to strengthen coordination on issues related to Latin America and the Caribbean and are interested in developing relations with regional organizations.

Lavrov said that Moscow and Havana will also continue to fight for the formation of a fair multipolar world order. “From this position, we are actively fighting for neo-colonial practices to remain forever in the past”, added the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Russian top diplomat thanked his Cuban counterpart for participating in events related to the meetings earlier this week in Nizhny Novgorod of BRICS foreign ministers with partners. “We see great benefits from these types of events involving countries from the world's majority – Africa, Latin America, Asia“, said the minister.

At the same time, according to Rodríguez Parilla, interaction within the framework of BRICS opens new opportunities for its participants on a global scale. He added that the Cuban authorities continue to condemn the West's attempts to replace existing international law with a new world order based on “some rules”. “Together we will continue to work for the creation of a more just, democratic and multipolar world,” he said, adding that Havana, as before, condemns the West's unilateral sanctions against Russia, as well as other attempts to isolate Moscow on the world arena.
