US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has stated that Ukraine has right to conduct military operations in Crimea for its own protection, reports UNIAN, referring to his statement.
"In recent weeks, we have been working to speed up the delivery of aid to the front lines so that Ukrainians have everything they need to fight the ongoing Russian aggression. Of course, the extraordinary courage and resilience of the Ukrainians themselves, who are coping in Kharkiv and in the eastern part of the country, but continue to fight Russia in Crimea, as well as in the Black Sea, if necessary, also play a role," he stressed. during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
He also commented on the security agreement recently signed by the presidents of the United States and Ukraine. Blinken expects about 20 other countries to do the same before the NATO summit to step up their support for Ukraine.
"This is proof, clear proof, that all our partners are with Ukraine for the long term. And if Vladimir Putin expects to outlive Ukraine, to outlive any of us, he is wrong. He is wrong. And again, I think you're going to see a summit that will highlight that even more," Blinken assured.
According to him, "the Ukrainian strategy, the implementation of which the United States is engaged in, demonstrates effective results in repelling Russian aggression,", writes UNIAN.
"And it was done surprisingly successfully, bearing in mind that Putin's goal from day one was to wipe Ukraine off the map, to end its existence as an independent state, to annex it to Russia. That didn't work. But going forward, we want to be sure that Ukraine will succeed, that it will stand firmly on its feet - in military, economic and democratic terms. This is exactly what we are helping Ukraine to do. And this is a sign of success in the future", said the US Secretary of State.
