Russian citizens have reported problems processing payments at major banks after a distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS) against Russian banks, reported "Reuters", referring to the "Kommersant" newspaper, BTA writes.
At least one Russian bank has told its customers that it is having problems sending messages containing payment confirmation codes.
"Merchant" said customers reported problems using the websites of major banks, messaging app "Telegram" (Telegram) as well as with the main mobile phone networks.
The print edition quoted the Russian payment card operator as saying that the disruption was short-lived and that the fast payment system was now operating normally.
