The new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has ended the plan to deport migrants who arrived illegally in the country to Rwanda, reports the “Daily Telegraph”, quoted from BTA.
Starmer took this step on his first day in office.
The Labor leader had promised to reverse the Conservatives' policy of sending asylum seekers who arrived in Britain illegally to Rwanda. But Starmer himself will now be under pressure to find a solution to stop hundreds of thousands of people arriving illegally in the country by boat across the English Channel, Reuters notes.
