Western politicians have shown no interest and have not contacted the Kremlin for three weeks now regarding peace initiatives for Ukraine , which were expressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Russian leader's press secretary Dmitry Peskov told RIA Novosti.

„No“, he said, answering the relevant question.

On June 14, Russian President Vladimir Putin made new peace proposals to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

They envisage recognition of the status of Crimea, Sevastopol, DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions as regions of Russia, strengthening of the non-aligned and non-nuclear status of Ukraine, its demilitarization and de-Nazification, and the lifting of sanctions against Moscow.

According to the head of state, this initiative provides an opportunity to stop the conflict and move to its political and diplomatic settlement.
