Russia says it has stopped several Ukrainian missile and drone attacks in the western part of the country, including in the Volgograd region, where a fire broke out at a facility of the Ministry of Defense, reported France Presse, citing a statement by the governor Andrey Bocharov on the Telegram social network, BTA reported.
Air defense "repelled a drone attack on the territory of the Volgograd region in the Marinovka region, most of the drones were destroyed," he added. Elsewhere, in the Kursk region bordering Ukraine, "two Ukrainian missiles and one drone" were destroyed by the anti-aircraft defense, Governor Alexei Smirnov announced in Telegram.
In Rostov Oblast, an attack by five drones was repelled without causing damage or casualties according to preliminary data, according to Governor Vasily Golubev.
One drone was also destroyed in the Voronezh region, and another in the Bryansk region, the governors announced this morning.
