The topic of negotiations with Ukraine has now lost its timeliness, not all contact messages are correct. This was emphasized by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, reports RIA Novosti.
"You know that the topic of negotiations has almost lost its relevance at the moment. There are many reports about various contacts in the media, and not all of them are true,”, Peskov replied to a question about whether negotiations were held between Russia and Ukraine before the start of the Kursk operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Kiev and Moscow have been preparing negotiations for a partial ceasefire, but they were interrupted by the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. Information about this first appeared in the media in mid-August, but the French daily Le Monde highlighted on Sunday that the preparations for the talks have now been confirmed by Kiev officials.
According to the editorial source, the idea of negotiations arose after the June peace meeting for Ukraine, which was held in Switzerland.
