The head of the National Energy Company " "Ukrenergo" Vadim Kudrytsky will be fired, Forbes Ukraine reported, citing four sources.
According to the publication, Kudrytsky refused to submit his resignation voluntarily after the decision was made during an official meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The reason for the requested resignation is the unfinished protective equipment around the substations of "Ukrenergo" which, after the massive Russian shelling on August 26, led to an interruption of the electricity supply.
"Ukrenergo" did not respond to requests for comment.
