In the Ukrainian city of Poltava, emergency and rescue operations at the site of the Russian missile strike have ended , killed more than 50 people. This was announced by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Telegram, quoted by "Ukrinform".
"Emergency rescue operations at the site of the rocket attack on an educational institution in Poltava have ended. 55 people died and another 328 were injured. At the moment, experts are identifying the dead," the publication says.

Russian missiles hit a military academy in eastern Ukraine on Tuesday just minutes after air raid sirens went off.
The Russian Defense Ministry later confirmed in a report that the attack was aimed at the training center.
The ministry statement said the following:
"The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a precision strike on the 179th Unified Training Center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the city of Poltava, where communication and electronic warfare specialists from all formations and military units were trained under the leadership of foreign instructors of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as operators of unmanned aerial vehicles involved in striking civilian targets on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The report did not specify the type of weapon; the Ukrainian military said they were ballistic missiles tentatively identified as "Iskander-M".
In recent days, Russia has stepped up its attacks on targets in Ukraine. On September 2, 20 ballistic missiles were fired at Kiev.
