Russian President Vladimir Putin does not want to talk with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz about the issue of mediation for peace in Ukraine, German Foreign Minister Analena Berbock said, reported Reuters.
"Ukraine is ready for a just peace," Berbok said in Berlin, where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to meet with Scholz today.
Berbok, who spoke at a joint press conference with her Slovak counterpart Juraj Blanar, criticized Putin for rejecting attempts to start peace talks. "He refuses to accept peace and every day sends another signal in favor of war and destruction… He is no longer even ready to talk to the German chancellor on the phone," the minister added.
