Four people were injured in an ax attack on a French train, French police said, quoted by DPA.
A police spokesman said the attack in the Paris area was an act of revenge. Two people were seriously injured and two others - slightly. The exact circumstances of the attack have not yet been clarified.
In the morning, the railway operator SNCF (SNCF) announced on the social network "Ex" that there was an accident on a train in Auzoir-la-Ferrière, south-east of Paris. Police and fire brigade teams arrived at the scene. There are no further details about the incident, but the publication says that some trains have been canceled, AP said.
French media reported that a dispute broke out on the train, as a result of which one person was injured with the ax in the head area and another passenger had his hand cut off.
