Experts and scientists on the issues of artificial intelligence, as well as representatives of non-governmental women's organizations from nearly 30 countries are participating in a two-day International Conference subtitled "Artificial Intelligence and Women", which is being held in the "Halich" congress center. on the bank of the Golden Horn in Istanbul.

The organizer of the forum is the "Women and Democracy" Foundation (Kadem), which is close to the government, BTA clarifies.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife Emine Erdogan attended the official opening yesterday.

The purpose of the forum is to discuss issues related to artificial intelligence and its role in the lives and development of women, namely how to use artificial intelligence in such a way that women have a fairer and more secure future, to eliminate discrimination against women, as well as how to overcome the weaknesses that currently exist.

Using the concepts of artificial intelligence and women together is an important combination, said Sumeye Erdoğan Bayraktar, the young daughter of the Turkish president, who chairs the board of the Kadem Foundation.

Forum panel topics are "Artificial Intelligence, Information Production and Algorithms”, “Artificial Intelligence and Socio-Cultural Codes”, “Inspiring Women”, “Ethical Debates and Policy Regulations on Artificial Intelligence”, “The Implications of Artificial Intelligence for Women's Well-Being“.

Palestine participants described how artificial intelligence was used during Israel's attacks on Gaza.

A final conference document is expected to be adopted.

The Association of Women and Democracy "Kadem" is an informal organization created to protect women's rights, which includes a number of women's organizations and individuals close to the government.

The association was a defender of the Istanbul Convention, which Turkey signed in 2011, but was canceled by a presidential decree.
