Ukrainian Army: We struck a Russian command post in the Kursk region with missiles - 1

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched a precision strike on a command post of the Russian army in the village of Maryino, Kursk region, Ukrinform reported, citing the General Staff of the AFU, BTA reports.

"Such strikes are aimed primarily at weakening Russia's ability and desire to carry out terrorist acts against the Ukrainian civilian population," the statement said in "Telegram".

All necessary measures were taken during the attack to minimize threats to the lives of the local civilian population.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to ruthlessly detect and destroy the military command facilities of the aggressor state, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stressed at the same time.

Footage from another video posted on "Telegram", according to the military, shows damage caused to a Russian base in Ivanivskoye, near Marino, Reuters reports.

The Russian Armed Forces reported that air defense units shot down four Ukrainian missiles in the Kursk region.

Regional Governor Alexander Khinshtein said that the strikes damaged a multi-story residential building and other buildings in a neighboring village. The strike on Ivanivsko shattered the windows of a multi-story residential building and private homes. A school, a pharmacy and a shop were also damaged, he said.

Khinshtein published a video showing workers repairing damage to the facade of a building.

Reuters notes that it cannot independently confirm the claims of both sides in the conflict about the situation on the battlefield.

The day before yesterday, unmanned "Magura B5" boats equipped with missiles destroyed two Russian Mi-8 helicopters in the Black Sea, Ukrinform recalls, referring to the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Current information confirms that the special forces unit of Group 13 carried out the operation near the occupied Crimea. Using the "Magura B5" sea drones, they destroyed two Russian Mi-8 helicopters, eliminating their crews. During the operation, a third Russian helicopter was also hit. Although it was damaged, it managed to land safely, Ukrinform notes.
