The conversation between the presidents of Russia and the United States lasted two hours and five minutes, said Russian President Vladimir Putin's adviser, Yuri Ushakov, TASS reported. Putin promised that Ushakov would provide more details about his phone call with the American leader, held earlier this evening, the agency recalls.
The two presidents used first names. The conversation was sincere and frank. The two leaders showed that they are interested in a future meeting and in its yielding results. However, they have not yet set a time and place for this meeting, Ushakov said.
Putin congratulated Trump on the birth of his 11th grandchild and wished him health, the presidential adviser also said.
He stressed that The conversation took place in such a mutually respectful manner that it reflects the nature of the personal relationship between Putin and Trump.
Trump told Putin: “Vladimir, you can pick up the phone at any time and I will be happy to answer, I will be happy to talk to you“, Ushakov said. “This ending also characterizes the nature of the conversation that took place between the leaders,” said the aide to the Russian president, adding that the conversation between Putin and Trump was “businesslike, meaningful and very useful“.
