Russia and Ukraine have continued the largest-ever prisoner exchange, with each side releasing another 307 people, the Russian Defense Ministry announced today, quoted by DPA, BTA reported.
The ministry said the prisoner exchange would continue, Reuters reported.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that another 307 Ukrainian prisoners of war had returned home as part of the exchange agreed with Russia.
Yesterday, Russia and Ukraine announced that they had exchanged 390 people from each side at the beginning of the exchange of 1,000 prisoners of war planned to be released.
The largest prisoner exchange to date for more than three years after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine was agreed last week at talks in Istanbul.
