The Israeli army said it had intercepted a missile fired from Yemeni territory, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
Air raid sirens were sounded in several areas of Israel early this morning. Yemeni Houthi rebels, backed by Iran, have begun firing missiles at Israel since the start of the war between the Israeli army and the Palestinian group "Hamas" in October 2023. The Houthis say their actions against Israel are a show of solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
So far, most of the missiles fired by Yemeni rebels have been intercepted by Israeli air defense forces. The Houthis have not yet made a statement regarding their latest attack on Israel.
