The Security Forces of Ukraine (SFU) detained a 32-year-old construction company employee who collaborated with the Russian Federal Security Service and directed strikes against reserve command posts of the Ukrainian armed forces in Kharkiv, Ukrinform reported, BTA reported.

According to the SFU, the man joined the construction company specifically to help Russian forces target newly built Ukrainian military facilities. While installing ventilation systems in underground shelters of reserve command posts, he obtained their coordinates and sent them to the enemy.

In addition to sending the location, he also provided details about the technical characteristics of potential targets. In order not to be discovered, after each sending, he deleted all correspondence with his contact from his phone.

Cyber specialists from the SSU revealed and documented the agent's contacts with Russian operatives, and he was arrested in his home during the final stage of the operation. At the same time, the SSU took special measures to secure the affected military facilities.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect was also monitoring the movement of Ukrainian armored vehicles to the front. He secretly recorded them while he was returning from work.

Based on the evidence collected, SSU investigators charged the man with treason during martial law. If found guilty, he faces a life sentence and confiscation of property.

Ukrinform reports that the SSU, with the support of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko and the command of the National Guard of Ukraine, recently detained another Russian agent in the National Guard assault brigade in Kharkiv.
