The exchange of bodies of the dead military personnel between Ukraine and Russia is scheduled for next week. This was announced by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, Radio NV reports, quoted by Focus.
He stressed that Ukraine is strictly observing the agreements reached in Istanbul during the negotiations with Russia.
Earlier, Russian Lieutenant General Alexander Zorin announced that Moscow is ready to hand over the first 1,212 bodies of fighters from the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the exchange zone. “These are 1,212 bodies of Ukrainian servicemen, many of whom have been identified, but all of them have been identified as Ukrainian servicemen by their uniforms, by the area where they were found,” he said.
