On Thursday, June 12, a plane with 242 people on board crashed in Ahmedabad, India. At the moment, only one survivor is known - a British citizen, reports ANI, reports Focus.
The police reported that one survivor was found at the crash site - a British man who was sitting in seat 11A. He is currently in hospital and receiving medical care.
The exact number of dead cannot yet be confirmed. It may increase significantly, since the plane crashed in a residential area.
According to information from The Hindustan Times, the survivor's name is Vishvash Kumar Ramesh. He was visiting family in India and was returning to the UK with his brother.
Vishvash says the problems started thirty seconds after takeoff. He heard a loud noise and then the plane crashed.
“When I stood up, there were bodies all around me. I got scared, got up and ran. There was debris from the plane all around me. Someone grabbed me, put me in an ambulance and took me to hospital,“ the survivor recalls.
He was hospitalised with injuries to his chest, eyes and legs.
