US President Donald Trump said his country is ready to immediately provide any necessary assistance to India after a serious plane crash that killed about 300 people, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reports.
Trump described the tragedy as “horrific“ and noted that there is still no clear understanding of the causes of the incident. The crash occurred shortly after the takeoff of an “Boeing 787“ of the “Air India“ airline from Ahmedabad airport en route to London.
There were 242 passengers and crew members on board the plane, but the accident caused the machine to crash into a nearby dormitory. According to initial police data, the number of victims is at least 290 - both from the plane and the building on the ground.
