A couple of Bulgarian citizens were detained in Thessaloniki for leaving an 11-month-old baby on the balcony to cry and went to sleep, Sky TV reported, quoted by BTA.
According to information from the police, yesterday at dawn during a patrol, police officers found a small child crying in a stroller on the balcony of an apartment.
At the same time, the parents, together with their other three children, were inside the apartment and sleeping, and the balcony door was closed.
A police case has been opened against the 36-year-old man and 35-year-old woman, citizens of Bulgaria, for endangering a child. Social services have also been notified and are due to assess the children's living conditions. According to the information, the parents said they left the baby on the balcony to cool off.
