At least nine people have been killed and nearly 80 injured in a massive Russian missile attack on the cities of Dnipro and Samar in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the head of the regional military administration, Sergei Lysak, announced. Among the injured are two children - a 13-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, who are hospitalized.
According to Lysak, seven people were killed and about 70 were injured in the attack on the Dnipro. As a result of the shelling, schools, hospitals and numerous residential buildings were damaged. In the city of Samar, also in the Dnipropetrovsk region, two more people were killed and nine were injured as a result of a strike by the Russian army.
Ukrainian authorities and rescue teams continue to search for people under the rubble, with the risk of further strikes remaining high.
