The average net salary in Montenegro was 1,010 euros in May, which is 0.5 percent more than in April. This was reported to BTA by the Montenegrin news agency MINA.
According to the Montenegrin Statistical Office, the average net salary increased by 21.9 percent in May compared to the same period last year.
The average gross salary reached 1,200 euros in May.
“Considering that compared to April, consumer prices increased by 0.6 percent in May, real wages in Montenegro decreased by 0.1 percent during this period“, said a press release from the Montenegrin Statistical Office.
In May, average net salaries increased in agriculture, forestry and fishing, other services, manufacturing, hotels and food services, water supply, wastewater management, waste management and related activities, wholesale and retail trade, maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles.
During the same period, average net wages decreased in the fields of arts, entertainment and recreation, mining and quarrying, professional, scientific and technical activities, administrative and support services, health and social work, transport and storage, public administration and defence: compulsory social security, civil engineering, information and communications, real estate, financial and insurance services, education, electricity and gas supply.
