Meteorologists expect a sharp rise in temperatures in Turkey in the next ten days. The forecast is that they will reach 44 degrees in the eastern part of the country, the Turkish state television “TRT Haber“ reported, quoted by BTA.

The heat wave will last until July 12, and the authorities' appeal to people with chronic diseases, children and the elderly is to not go outside between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The hottest will be in Diyarbakir, Sanliurfa and Batman, where thermometers will read 44 degrees. In Siirt it will be 42 degrees, in Antalya and Mugla - 40 degrees, in Mardin - 39 degrees, and in Sirnak - 38 degrees.

At the same time, strong winds will blow in the Marmara, Mediterranean and White Sea regions at speeds between 40 and 70 kilometers per hour. Authorities have urged people to be careful due to the risk of falling trees and roofs being blown away.

Heavy rains are expected along the Black Sea coast and in the regions of Amasya, Tokat, Bayburt, Ardahan, Samsun, Erzurum.
