A man was shot and a woman – seriously injured, this morning by an attacker who committed suicide after the incident in the Austrian town of Traiskirchen, 32 km south of Vienna, Austrian police reported, quoted by the Associated Press and BTA.
Local police spokesman Johann Baumschlager, quoted by APA, said that the suspect fled the scene in a car and later committed suicide. The woman was taken to a hospital in Vienna.
The criminal police of the province of Lower Austria are investigating the shooting, but could not immediately provide further details.
According to local media, the shooting was preceded by an argument between the three people.
