The Slovenian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs summoned Israel's ambassador Ruth Koen-Dar and handed her a protest note over the restriction of humanitarian aid to Gaza, BTA reported.
"The Foreign Ministry summoned the Israeli ambassador, also accredited to Slovenia, for a conversation and handed her a protest note over the uncontrollable humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza due to the restriction of access to humanitarian aid", the ministry wrote on its official profile in Ex.
In the protest note, Slovenia calls on Israel to end the "killing and suffering of civilians in Gaza".
Slovenia is among the countries that have recognized Palestine as a state and are calling for an end to the conflict through a two-state solution. Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon called on UN countries to recognize Palestine earlier this week.
