The „Kalashnikov“ concern is sending the modernized „Kazimachta“ drone to the front in Ukraine, which can stay in the air for 20 days.
This was reported to TASS by Leonid Rokeakh, director of export of drones and barge ammunition at the „Kalashnikov“ concern.
„It can hang in the air for up to 500 hours, it does not need to work continuously. As a rule, it works 24 hours. That is, it hangs, they lower it, check if everything is fine, replace the diesel generator or something else“, he said, specifying that the modernized drone is used in the combat zone.
Rokeakh added, that the drone is always active. Power and information are transmitted via wire. Its tasks include perimeter or object protection. It can also be used for civilian purposes, for example, for surveillance during mass events.
The "Quasimast" equipment lifting system is designed for long-term operation of electronic equipment (payload) on a high-altitude flight and lifting platform, representing an unmanned aerial vehicle of the "copter" type.
"Quasimast" provides round-the-clock video surveillance in the optical and infrared ranges with the ability to transmit information to ground terminals in real time. In the event of a power outage from the ground source, the drone performs a safe landing.
