Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he will meet with US President Donald Trump on Monday in Washington, Ukrainian media and world news agencies reported.

The meeting between the two will follow Trump's summit with Putin in Alaska.

Earlier today, Trump called Zelenskyy to tell him what he had talked to Putin about, world news agencies and Ukrinform reported.

Trump also held an hour-long phone call with leaders of NATO and the EU. European leaders are now holding a phone call with each other.

According to the American publication “Axios“ During Trump's talks with Zelensky and with NATO and EU leaders, the US president told them that Putin did not want a ceasefire, but preferred a comprehensive agreement to end the war, Reuters reported. Trump himself said during the phone calls: "I think a quick peace deal is better than a ceasefire", "Axios" added.

Zelensky, in turn, said after his conversation with Trump that he supported the idea of a trilateral meeting of the leaders of the United States, Russia and Ukraine, as Trump had proposed, Reuters reported. Zelensky added that Kiev was ready for constructive cooperation.

"Ukraine confirms its readiness to work with maximum efforts to achieve peace", Zelensky wrote in „Ex“.

„We support Trump's proposal for a trilateral meeting between Ukraine, the United States and Russia. Ukraine emphasizes that key issues can be discussed at the level of leaders and the trilateral format is suitable for this,“ Zelensky added.

Kremlin diplomatic adviser Yuri Ushakov said that the issue of a trilateral meeting between the presidents of the United States, Russia and Ukraine was not discussed, world agencies reported.

Ushakov said that he did not know when Trump and Putin would meet again after their meeting in Alaska.

In a comment to the Russian “First Channel“ Ushakov stressed that as soon as the results of the summit between Russia and the United States held yesterday in Alaska are finally summarized, a decision will be made to organize a new bilateral meeting between the leaders of the two countries.

In this regard, when asked about the possibility of holding a trilateral meeting with the participation of Zelensky, the Kremlin representative answered laconically: “This topic has not been discussed yet“.
