European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will meet with US President Donald Trump at the White House tomorrow, along with other European leaders, at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Reuters reported, citing a publication by the EC head on the "Ex" platform, BTA reported.

Von der Leyen also announced that she would welcome Zelensky in Brussels later today and together they will participate in a meeting of European leaders.

French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Washington, along with several other European leaders, to accompany his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky during his meeting with Donald Trump, Agence France-Presse reported, citing a statement from the Elysee Palace.

According to the statement, the meeting aims to "continue coordination between the Europeans and the US with the aim of achieving a just and lasting peace that protects the vital interests of Ukraine and the security of Europe".

The government in Berlin confirmed that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz would visit Washington tomorrow to participate in the meeting with Trump. "The talks will concern, among other things, security guarantees, territorial issues and continued support for Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression. This includes maintaining pressure on Moscow through sanctions," Berlin said.

Finnish President Alexander Stubb will also travel to the US capital with Zelensky.

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte will also attend the meeting, hosted by the US president, his office said.

Rome also confirmed the participation of Italian Prime Minister Giorgi Meloni.

The move by Zelensky and European leaders is an apparent effort to prevent a repeat of the tense situation during his last visit to Washington to meet with Trump in February. The presence of European leaders with Zelensky, demonstrating Europe's support for Ukraine, could help calm concerns in Kiev and other European capitals that the Ukrainian president risks being forced into a peace deal with Russia brokered by Trump, the Associated Press notes.
