Ukrainian intelligence: Russians are already using fourth-generation combat drones - 1

On the line of combat contact, Russian troops are increasingly using new-generation drones. Ukrainian intelligence has published details of a new drone that Russia is actively using in various directions on the front. This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, reports Censor.NET.

These technologies take Russian intelligence to a new level. The new drone can be used both as a reconnaissance and strike drone, as well as as a decoy, in order to overload the Ukrainian air defense.

"This modification is equipped with a camera and two LTE (Long Term Evolution) modems, which allow for real-time or recorded video transmission via mobile base stations, as well as receiving commands for course correction.

In the strike version, the drone's camera (with the ability to change the viewing angle) and remote control can be used to guide the operator to the target, using the principle of FPV drones“, the message says.

That is, now the operator does not need to manually search for targets on the screen - the system does it itself. This makes it impossible to hide from the drone, and this is what worries the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has a delta-wing fuselage, similar to the Shahed, but slightly smaller.

Navigation is carried out by a jamming-resistant satellite positioning system with four antennas and Chinese Allystar modules. This also makes the drone immune to electronic warfare (EW) systems.

Almost half of the components of the unmanned aerial vehicle are made in China (communication modules, minicomputer, power regulator, quartz oscillator).

The DLE engine is installed in the nose of the fuselage, which makes the drone the closest thing to the Italmas munitions barge, manufactured by the Russian Zala Group.

The next step is to integrate this technology permanently into attack drones. This creates a completely new combat architecture, where the human in the decision-making chain is no longer mandatory. And in the conditions of positional warfare, when every second counts, this can provide a key advantage on the front line.
