The Russian command is transferring additional troops to the Zaporizhia region, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a conversation with journalists yesterday, quoted by an Ukrinform correspondent, BTA reports.
“We see that they continue to transfer part of their troops from the Kursk direction to Zaporizhia“, Zelensky said.
He noted that such actions by the enemy will not be a surprise to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Zaporozhye, the enemy is gathering forces. "We announced that there will be an increase in forces in the Pokrovskoye direction and in Zaporozhye," the president emphasized.
On August 19, Russian troops launched 583 strikes on 11 settlements in the Zaporozhye region, Ukrinform recalls.
