Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that he would not like to rule authoritarianally, but it is not working out otherwise, TASS reported, BTA reported.
"I would not like to rule authoritarianally, dictatorially. However, it is not working out otherwise", the president was quoted as saying by the "Telegram" channel close to his press service; "Pul Pervogo ("Pool of the First"). Moreover, the context in which the statement was made was not specified.
During a visit to the Mogilev region, Lukashenko held a meeting dedicated to the development of potato production.
"The harvest campaign is in full swing. Everything that was requested by the government has been done. Now the result depends on you. In parallel with the potatoes, the harvesting of beets, including sugar beets, corn, cabbage, carrots is underway. The year was not easy, but I repeat - the harvest was wonderful. We must harvest it and preserve it," said Lukashenko, quoted by the BelTA agency.
