Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet today with European Council President Antoni Kostya and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico to discuss energy issues, „Reuters“ reported, News.bg reports.
According to the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak, the agenda also includes the gradual suspension of Russian oil supplies through Ukrainian territory.
Slovakia is highly dependent on Russian oil, which reaches the country through the Druzhba pipeline. In recent months, its infrastructure has been attacked by Ukrainian drones, which led to supply disruptions and provoked a sharp reaction from Bratislava.
Kiev is demanding that European countries stop buying Russian energy to limit Moscow's revenues used to wage war against Ukraine.
