The delegates of the extraordinary assembly of the Bulgarian Medical Union gave a mandate to the Management to sign the Annex to the National Framework Agreement for Medical Activities 2023-2025, the organization announced, NOVA reported.
According to the Medical Union, at the current level of funding it is impossible to achieve European quality of medical care, nor to retain or attract medical staff with remuneration commensurate with their work.
The financial resources available to the system are extremely insufficient to adequately provide medical services, and the patience of doctors is running out, says the position of the Bulgarian Medical Union.
The doctors insist on increasing the health contribution and guaranteeing its full payment by the state, increasing the percentage of the gross domestic product allocated to healthcare, building a long-term national strategy for sustainable financing and development of the healthcare system.
