A train hit and killed a 53-year-old woman on the tracks near Kameno, reported the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs-Burgas, BTA reported.
The incident happened last night around 20:29. A signal was received on phone 112 from the conductor of train 8613 Sofia-Burgas, traveling in the direction of Burgas, that a woman was hit and died at the crossing in Svoboda village, Kameno municipality.
An inspection has been carried out. It was established that the corpse was that of a 53-year-old woman from the village of Bozveliysko, Provadia municipality.
The driver of the train (56 years old) and the assistant driver (44 years old) were tested for the use of alcohol and drugs. The samples are negative. According to the driver, the woman was standing at the crossing and did not react despite the sound signal he gave.
