The event will offer around 100 iconic models from the French manufacturer's private collection. This large-scale sale is part of Renault's strategic plan to reorganize its colossal heritage before the opening of a new exhibition center in Flain-sur-Seine in 2027.
The auction, scheduled for December 7, 2025, will be held at the iconic location in Flain-sur-Seine near Paris – the future home of all the brand's collections, spanning 125 years of innovation. Renault's goal is to preserve 600 iconic and unique models produced since 1898, while getting rid of duplicates (those owned in two or three copies). This is a rare opportunity for collectors to acquire a piece of history directly from the original source.
Motorsport legends and the turbo era
The auction's focus is undoubtedly on motorsport, which represents Renault's golden decade in Formula 1. As a pioneer in the use of turbo engines in F1, the French team challenged the status quo in 1977 with the famous RS01.
The auction pays special tribute to this visionary period by offering around twenty authentic racing cars from the turbo years (1981-1985). The lots will include models from the RE27B to the RE60 01b, driven by giants such as Jean-Pierre Jabouillet, René Arnault and Alain Prost. The legendary RE40, winner of the Belgian Grand Prix, epitomizes this success. Some of the cars will be accompanied by original technical notes revealing the engineering work at Viry-Châtillon.
The Endurance section is represented by the iconic Alpine A442 in chassis 0 version - the first in the line, which has a history of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and testing at the Columbus circuit. The rally section includes icons such as the Maxi Turbo 5 B0 prototype and the Renault 5 GT Turbo Bandama, still bearing traces of the red dirt of the World Championship.

Over 90% of the lots will be offered without a reserve price, which guarantees the opportunity for a wide range of collectors and enthusiasts to participate. This sale is part of a large-scale project aimed at gathering the entire rich Renault heritage in one place for future generations.
