French automotive avant-garde Citroën is about to shake up the foundations of mobility, presenting its futuristic ELO concept at the Brussels Motor Show, which opens on January 9. The creators themselves describe ELO as a “laboratory of ideas“, perfectly embodying the brand's core values: audacity, innovation and creativity.

The name of the concept - ELO - is an eloquent acronym made up of the English words rEst (rest), pLay (play) and wOrk (work). This new interpretation of the car reflects Citroën's philosophy: to provide a vehicle that is completely transformable and can seamlessly adapt to all aspects of modern life – be it relaxing outdoors, having fun with friends or performing work tasks.

This futuristic “minibus“ is only 4.1 meters long, but thanks to the ingenious use of its electric architecture, it offers exceptional space. Despite its compact external dimensions, the ELO has the potential to accommodate up to 6 people, which is an impressive achievement for this segment.

The interior of the ELO is the heart of its modularity. In standard mode, the cabin offers four comfortable seats, with the driver's seat placed centrally. When the car is parked, the driver's seat can be elegantly folded out, becoming part of the living area.

Need more space? The concept provides special stands for easily adding two more passenger seats when you are with a large company, but the transformation does not stop there:
Bedroom on Wheels: The interior can be transformed into a cozy sleeping place for two people.
Home Cinema: The cabin easily transforms into a home cinema room, ideal for entertainment during a vacation.
Mobile Office: ELO is ideal as a multifunctional office on wheels, allowing you to work efficiently from anywhere.

Engine

As it is fully electric, ELO not only runs on electricity, but also serves as a powerful energy source. Its on-board network can be used to power external devices, connect to a “smart“ home or charge all kinds of gadgets – truly a battery-powered car.

To ensure maximum practicality, durability and technologicality of the design and decoration, Citroën worked closely with specialists from giants such as Goodyear and Decathlon. This partnership has allowed the use of durable and innovative materials that meet the requirements of the active and multifunctional life inherent in the ELO philosophy. ELO is expected to give a clear indication of what the flexible urban vehicles of the future will look like.
