Renault is expected to stop offering the current generation of its Arkana model very soon, but to replace that model, the French automaker is already preparing a new crossover, which is rumored to be produced as under both the Dacia and Renault brands and will be based on the third generation of the Duster model.
According to Motors Actu, work on the coupe-like version of the Duster is in full swing. This variant is expected to be longer (by about 250 mm) than the usual crossover, but lower due to the sloping rear end typical of such cars.
Externally, the car should copy the solutions used in the third generation Duster, which was presented in mid-2023. It will get a similar light signature on the headlights and rear optics, as well as a wide plastic trim on the lower part of the body.
The technical side of the car is still in question, but it is assumed that the innovation will receive a wide range of engines, among which there will be both hybrids and plug-in hybrid engines.
It is possible that the cross-coupe will receive a more environmentally friendly version in the form of a BiFuel engine that can run on both gasoline and gas. The official premiere of the new coupe-like crossover of Dacia and Renault may take place in 2026.
