At the Brussels Motor Show, which is currently underway, Toyota presented the all-new electric SUV Urban Cruiser to the European public for the first time. The model is planned for release in late summer 2025.
This compact electric car is designed to combine the comfort of D-class cars with maneuverability and convenience for urban conditions. The Urban Cruiser has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.
The car has a sophisticated interior with a sliding rear seat, which provides the space typical of higher-class cars. The exterior of the model is dominated by the features of the Urban Tech style.
In particular, the front of the crossover, resembling a hammer, adds a muscular design and something else - interesting technology to the design. The compact turning radius of 5.2 meters makes this SUV ideal for narrow streets.
Toyota offers the Urban Cruiser in several drive configurations. The base model is equipped with a 49 kWh LFP battery and 106 kW (144 hp) with front-wheel drive (FWD). For those looking for more power and flexibility, a version with a 61 kWh battery is available.
There are versions with front-wheel drive (128 kW, 174 hp) and all-wheel drive (AWD), with a system output of 135 kW (184 hp) thanks to an additional 48-kilowatt motor on the rear axle.
The four-wheel drive model is also equipped with assistance functions in difficult conditions, including Trail and Snow modes, as well as a hill descent assist system.
The Urban Cruiser is equipped with advanced safety technologies, including a collision avoidance system, adaptive cruise control and lane keeping. The car's interior is characterized by an integrated digital unit.
It consists of a 10.25-inch instrument display and a 10.1-inch multimedia screen. The car supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and premium packages include a 360-degree camera, JBL audio system and an electric driver's seat.
