She added that wine remains a natural mediator and ambassador of many beautiful words that connect many people in one society and in one network. “Today, our small society here is together with similar small and large societies in as many as 110 cities around the world“, she said.
Iotova also welcomed the new French Ambassador to Bulgaria Marie Dumoulin and wished her a very successful mandate.
Traditionally, the young wine “Beaujolais“ is welcomed every third Thursday of November all over the world. This year, 110 cities around the world took part in the ceremony, including Sofia. By Christmas (ed. note. when the young wine should be drunk), 15 million bottles of Beaujolais should be consumed, equal to this year's harvest.
“Wine is a factor that brings France and Bulgaria together extremely closely. This year, the producer of Beaujolais Nouveau has put on the label a rose that is very reminiscent of the oil-bearing Bulgarian rose – another bridge between our two countries“, said during the official ceremony the chairman of FBTIC, Stephane Delaye.
Beaujolais is among the most recognizable brands of France – a product that reminds everyone around the world of France's exceptional art in winemaking.
