US President Donald Trump did not rule out tax breaks due to rising fuel prices in the country due to the US-Israeli military operation against Iran.
“It is an option that we have in our pocket if we deem it necessary“, the US leader said, commenting on the possibility of suspending the federal tax on gasoline given the continued rise in fuel prices in the country during a conversation with reporters at the White House.
Gasoline prices in the US have already jumped to their highest levels since 2022, reaching nearly $4 per gallon. However, US experts admit that even if the Iran conflict ends relatively quickly, fuel prices in the US will fall slowly.
