Russia launched one of its most massive offensives since the beginning of the full-scale war near the town of Kurakhove (Kurakhovo in Russian) in the Donetsk region, but it was pushed back by Ukrainian forces, News.de and Kyivindependent.com reported.

The Russian attack in eastern Ukraine was carried out in the early hours of July 24 (Wednesday). Dozens of tanks and combat vehicles were sent in the attack by the occupying army, but in the end the victory was for the ZSU.

Soldiers of the Ukrainian 79th Separate Assault Brigade stopped the first tanks with artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles, and some of the Russian machines also encountered mines. At least 80 Russian casualties are reported – killed and wounded. Kiev claims that Russia has sent nearly 60 units of armored vehicles to the attack.

There are currently no peace talks or Russian withdrawal from Ukraine on the horizon. On the contrary, Vladimir Putin continues to demand the capitulation of Ukraine, and the large-scale attack near Kurakhov proves it.
