Kazakhstan monitors the development of the IT sector in Russia and is ready to share its experience. "Today, Kazakhstan, as its closest neighbor and partner, is pleased with Russia's success in the IT sector. We, of course, closely monitor these processes and are ready to exchange experience”, said the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation Dauren Abayev at the II International Caspian Digital Forum.
Abayev noted that Kazakhstan has a number of serious successes, including the creation of the IT sector, an increase in the number of IT companies, startups, many of which have received international recognition and investment. “The achievements of our country are reflected in the positions in the global ranking. "Kazakhstan is in 24th place in the UN e-government development index among 193 countries in the world," he stressed.
The ambassador also pointed out the possibilities for developing the digital infrastructure of the North-South transport corridor. “There is a western branch that passes through the territory of Dagestan, Azerbaijan, Iran. There is also an eastern branch that passes through the territory of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan and further to Iran. I think probably the overall linking of this corridor not as competitors, but as complementary corridors, will only work for good“, he added.
