An 8-year-old child was hit on a pedestrian crossing in Smolyan, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The incident occurred on Blvd. „Bulgaria“. The boy was crossing the crossing with his father when he was hit by a car driven by a 68-year-old Smolyan resident.
The child was transported to the Smolyan Hospital, where he underwent the necessary examinations. The doctors found that there were no internal injuries, only abrasions on the body.
The driver of the car explained to the police that he was blinded by the sun. There is still a police team on site and traffic is being controlled in one lane.
Three days ago, a 35-year-old woman was also hit on a pedestrian crossing in Smolyan.
