Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov will lead the Bulgarian delegation for the 80th regular session of the United Nations General Assembly, which will be held in New York, the government press service announced, FOCUS reported.
The theme of this year's General Political Debate is “Better Together: 80 Years and Beyond for Peace, Development and Human Rights“. It emphasizes the need to strengthen the multilateral approach through diplomacy, constructive dialogue and sustainable partnerships. The focus of the forum is on the equality and interconnectedness of the three main pillars of the UN – peace and security, development and human rights.

Talks with a number of representatives of American business are also planned.
