Today we celebrate one of the greatest deeds in our history – the declaration of the Independence of Bulgaria. With this courageous act, our ancestors declared to the world that a new beginning is coming for Bulgaria - a free and sovereign state, determined to determine its own destiny. This is stated by the leader of "DPS - New Beginning" Delyan Peevski, quoted by the party's press center.
"Today, more than ever, we bear the responsibility to protect this freedom and continue the path of development that leads to a modern, secure and stable Bulgaria. A country with a capital "D", in which people live well and are proud of it, says Peevski.
"Today we are the guarantor of never allowing our country to be weakened or destroyed, of not allowing division, destruction of the state and democracy in the country, and any such attempt will meet resistance. The new beginning for Bulgaria is being built with determination and faith, in the name of the people," the leader of "DPS - New Beginning" also stated.
