Bulgaria, as part of the European Union, will join the EU decisions to suspend, in the short term, in 2026, the contracts for the use or transit of Russian natural gas.
This was stated today by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, quoted by the Council of Ministers and BTA.
"Since the derogation that we insisted on so much was dropped, in the local "Neftochim" Russian oil is not being processed," Zhelyazkov said.
"We have already contacted for October and November, and on very good terms, liquefied natural gas from the United States, and our market fully has the necessary natural gas at competitive prices," the prime minister also said.
