Rumen Ovcharov to Yavor Dachkov: Borisov is leaving. The next bite that Peevski has prepared is Bulgaria! VIDEO - 1

Yavor Dachkov talks to Rumen Ovcharov, former Minister of Energy in the government of Sergey Stanishev and one of the strongest figures in the BSP from the recent past. The conversation was recorded on October 15, 2025 at Echo Media Studio.

What happened in Pazardzhik is very serious and Borisov is starting to understand it. The clientele that GERB had built up over the years is starting to reorient itself.

There is another ration distributor and the clientele is starting to turn to him — this is Delyan Peevski. Mayors in Bulgaria have understood this for a long time. There is no project, no funding, if you haven't gone to take a picture in Peevski's office. I know this from conversations with mayors, I'm not making it up. Those who didn't go to take a picture are drinking pop-up like the mayor of Varna.

Borisov instinctively feels that what happened to all of Peevski's missile carriers is starting to happen to him,

Starting with Angel Alexandrov, the former head of the Investigation, who appointed Peevski to the Investigation and himself testified how he personally took Peevski's diploma from the Southwestern University, Galya Dicheva, Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, then Corpbank — Tsvetan Vassilev, then the phenomenon — Ahmed Dogan. Now, however, there is a qualitative leap. If until now we were talking about individuals and organizations — Corpbank is still a company, „Bulgartabac“ is a company, „Lafka“ is a company — now we are talking about socio-political structures. The first one that fell under the power of Delyan Peevski is the MRF — it is no longer a party of Bulgarian Turks. The BSP also passed by on the way as a small stop, but here it is the same thing — the clientele. In general, only parties of the clientele are formed in Bulgaria. Parties that have no ideology.

The bad thing is that we are getting to Bulgaria. The next bite that Peevski has prepared to eat is Bulgaria. I don't know how many people realize it and whether they are happy about it.

Peevski does not play politically. Peevski plays personally and it is no coincidence that I mentioned the personalities he has gone through. What is his philosophy — he is the ideal executor of orders of any kind. I don't want to say wet ones, because I cannot prove it, but of any other kind. He was the ideal executor. Until the moment the performer feels that he already has the levers that allow him to kick his benefactor in the ass. The Turks have a word - ibrikchiya, i.e. one who serves in every way. Until the moment he climbs on top. I don't think that betrayal, treason, such a degree of flattery that generates such a degree of hatred in the one who practices it are things that we could accept. And this is the truth about Peevski so far - he has not betrayed and has not destroyed only what he has not touched in order to emerge on top.

How far we will go - I don't know, but we will have to drink our cup to the end, because as a people we have proven to be extremely susceptible to this.

The D2 group, as I call them - Delyan Peevski and Delyan Dobrev, have done huge stupid things in the Bulgarian energy sector — from “Lukoil“ through “Belene“, “Westinghouse“ and gas from Russia. A crime and betrayal of Bulgarian interests.

For the first year, after the government of Kiril Petkov stopped direct supplies of Russian gas (which received full approval from GERB and Peevski), Bulgaria paid 1 billion and 400 million leva more for natural gas. I took the trouble to calculate it. Only from April 2022 to April 2023, we paid one billion and four hundred million more. We still imported Russian gas, but through intermediaries. I don't think that in the following years we paid less. On the contrary — we certainly paid more. In these three years, we have lost at least 3 billion leva.

Rumen Radev is a completely American man. He says one thing, but does something completely different. This is evident in the behavior of his caretaker governments — both in energy, and in American nuclear fuel, and in the second order of American F-16 fighter jets, and in his behavior after the American strike against the leaders of the “Kozloduy“ nuclear power plant, which got them into “Magnitsky“. This happened with his approval and active cooperation. Just don't tell me that he is now fighting Peevski. This is theater. “Don't look at what I do, listen to what I say.“

In 2023, Geshev turned against Borisov and Peevski and was going to press charges against them when they set out to overthrow him.

He did it in the stupidest way — he could have done this job quickly, instead of going around Israel and the USA, but he tried. Well, Rumen Radev signed the decree on his release the next day after the Supreme Judicial Council released him. He could have kept him for a week, two — there is no deadline. He could have returned him for another vote, and Geshev would have done his job during that time. So when Rumen Radev raises his fist in the square next time, ask him who he is raising that fist against.

Radev is advantageous to Peevski and Borisov. They have already reached an agreement with him. There is no one left who is disadvantageous to them.

Despite all this, I am not a pessimist. The muddy water will drain, the Delyanpeevshtina will end.

There are reasonable people in Bulgaria, there are honest people. Yes, many of them are currently cornered, but this too shall pass.

I do not want to be removed from the “Magnitsky“ list, because this is evidence of how trying to protect the state interests of your own homeland, while speaking the truth, can lead you to “Magnitsky“. I want to be on this list as a sign of how the policy and attitude of the “greatest democracy“ in the world is formed. I am on this list based on reports to the American embassy, told to Byerly and the embassy cop by Bulgarians back in 2005-2006, when I was Minister of Energy. Unfounded nonsense heard in the corridors of the ministry.

The real reason I ended up on the “Magnitsky“ list today is my position regarding “Belene“, regarding nuclear fuel from “Westinghouse“ and in general about my views on the development of Bulgarian energy, which do not coincide with American interests.

Whoever wants to be free and say what he thinks, pays the price.
